
Geneva, May 19, 2025 – India has sent a senior delegation to the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva, reaffirming its commitment to global health cooperation. Led by officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the delegation stressed India’s role in promoting pandemic preparedness, equitable vaccine access, and stronger health systems in developing countries.
In its address, India called for inclusive global health governance and highlighted national achievements in digital health and medical innovation. The assembly is focusing on major global health challenges, including antimicrobial resistance, non-communicable diseases, and the health impact of climate change.
