
The Hague, May 19, 2025 – External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar began his six-day European tour in the Netherlands, where he held talks with strategic experts in The Hague. The discussions focused on strengthening India-EU and India-Netherlands ties in an increasingly multipolar world. Jaishankar underscored the need for greater cooperation between India and European nations to address shared global challenges.
This visit is Jaishankar’s first foreign trip since the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. His itinerary includes Denmark and Germany, with expected discussions on counter-terrorism, trade, renewable energy, technology, and regional security. The visit highlights India’s push to deepen strategic and economic ties with key European partners.
