Quetta, May 19, 2025 – The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (Paank) has strongly condemned the rising number of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, accusing security forces of abducting political activists and journalists. The group has urged both the Pakistani government and international human rights bodies to intervene and stop these violations, stressing the impact on local communities’ safety and freedoms.
Paank’s statement highlights escalating crackdowns and militarization in the region, which has long faced ethnic and separatist conflicts. The movement called for transparency, justice, and meaningful dialogue between authorities and affected communities to restore peace and uphold human rights in Balochistan.
