New Delhi, April 26, 2025 – A Google-Kantar study has revealed that 60% of Indians are unfamiliar with artificial intelligence (AI), despite its growing presence in various industries. The study emphasizes the need for greater awareness and education on AI technologies, highlighting a significant knowledge gap among the Indian population. This comes as AI tools like Google’s Gemini have gained global popularity, reaching 350 million users.
While AI platforms such as Gemini are rapidly growing worldwide, India still faces a challenge in AI adoption due to the lack of familiarity. The study suggests that efforts must be made to bridge this awareness gap to enable broader acceptance and integration of AI, which holds immense potential for transforming daily life and business in the country.
