Hyderabad, April 22, 2025 — The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a notice to actor Mahesh Babu to appear for questioning on April 27, regarding his involvement with the Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group projects. As a brand ambassador for these companies, Mahesh Babu received ₹5.9 crore, including ₹2.5 crore in cash. The ED is investigating these payments in light of allegations of financial fraud by the companies.
The companies are accused of defrauding investors through unauthorized plots and fake registration guarantees. While there is no direct evidence linking Mahesh Babu to the scam, the ED is focusing on the cash transactions and reports suggest around ₹100 crore worth of suspicious dealings.
