    Tadepalli Review: Minister Anita Prioritizes Heatwave Safety, Announces ₹4 Lakh Compensation for Victims

    Tadepalli, April 22, 2025 — Home Minister Anita conducted a review at the Disaster Management Office, highlighting the importance of preventing heatwave-related fatalities. She blamed previous government negligence for recurring disasters and emphasized the need for preparedness for both heatwaves and the monsoon. Officials confirmed readiness in 92 mandals, including water storage, drinking water arrangements, and buttermilk distribution in schools.

    The Minister also reviewed health and emergency preparedness, ensuring the availability of 5,145 beds and 768 ambulances for heatstroke cases. An action plan is in place for 20 cities, with ₹4 lakh compensation for heatwave deaths. She called for flood preparedness, along with financial support and training for SDRF, fire services, and “Aapda Mitras” to enhance emergency responses.
