Mumbai, April 21, 2025: Rahul Pande has been sworn in as Maharashtra’s Chief Information Commissioner at a ceremony held at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan. His appointment follows the retirement of the previous Chief Information Commissioner. Pande, with his background in governance and public administration, is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the role of overseeing transparency and the implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act in the state.
In his new role, Pande will focus on ensuring government accountability, addressing public grievances related to RTI requests, and promoting transparency across state departments.
