Hodeidah,, April 18, 2025 – U.S. airstrikes on the Ras Isa oil port in western Yemen have killed at least 38 people and injured over 100, according to Houthi-run Al Masirah TV. The Houthis condemned the attack as a violation of Yemen’s sovereignty, while the U.S. military said its aim was to disrupt a key fuel supply that funds Houthi operations.
This strike is among the deadliest of the U.S. campaign against the Iran‑backed Houthi rebels, which began in mid‑March. The operations form part of a broader effort to counter Houthi maritime attacks in the Red Sea and to increase pressure on Iran ahead of upcoming nuclear negotiations.
