San Francisco, April 18, 2025 – AI startup Perplexity is close to finalizing a deal with Motorola to integrate its virtual assistant into the upcoming Razr foldable phone, alongside Google’s Gemini. The partnership will feature a custom interface to enhance user experience, with Perplexity being offered as an alternative assistant, supported by dedicated marketing efforts.
Perplexity is also in early talks with Samsung to bring its assistant to Galaxy devices, aiming to secure a spot as either a default or optional assistant. These moves highlight Perplexity’s strategy to broaden its presence in the AI space on major mobile platforms.
