Known for its multimodal features, Perplexity AI’s assistant has already been launched on Android, offering screen content analysis and integration with platforms like Uber and Spotify.
This potential change follows Google’s plan to phase out Google Assistant in favor of Gemini across Android devices, including those from Motorola and Samsung. With Gemini integrated into Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite and Motorola’s Moto AI, the introduction of Perplexity AI could offer users an alternative AI assistant experience.
