Tehran, April 17, 2025 – Iran has officially confirmed that the second round of indirect nuclear talks with the United States will be held in Rome. The announcement was made by Iranian Foreign Ministry officials, who stated that both sides have agreed to continue diplomatic efforts aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
While details of the agenda remain undisclosed, the Iranian delegation emphasized their focus on lifting economic sanctions and ensuring Iran’s nuclear rights are respected. The first round of talks, held in Oman, yielded some progress, and both Tehran and Washington have expressed cautious optimism ahead of the Rome discussions. The talks come at a critical time, as international concerns persist over Iran’s uranium enrichment activities.
