    Konaseema District Ports See Significant Growth in Maritime Trade in 2024-25

    Konaseema District, April 15, 2025: Maritime transport in the East Godavari district has seen a significant increase in cargo traffic at the Kakinada Anchorage Port, Kakinada Deep Water Port, and Ravva Port in 2024-25. This growth has solidified the region’s position as one of the busiest trade hubs in India.

    Exports from the ports include rice, cement, granite, seafood, and sugar, while imports consist of coal, fertilizers, edible oil, and raw sugar. The Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board is working on expanding infrastructure and connectivity, which is expected to further boost the region’s maritime capabilities in the coming years.
