Speaking after Delhi Capitals’ recent IPL match, Jaffer noted that while Pant remains a powerful hitter, his tendency to rely on boundaries over singles and doubles can hurt momentum during middle overs, especially on slower pitches.
Jaffer emphasized that strike rotation is crucial for maintaining pressure on the bowling side and building consistent partnerships. He added that as Pant continues to return to peak form following his injury comeback, fine-tuning this aspect of his game will benefit both the player and the Delhi Capitals’ overall performance in the IPL 2025 season.
