Islamabad, April 14, 2025 – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has strongly disapproved of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) “baseless claims” regarding the May 9 incident. In a recent statement, Dar criticized PTI for attempting to mislead the public and distort facts surrounding the violent protests and attacks on military installations that took place last year.
The Deputy PM emphasized that those responsible for the May 9 violence must be held accountable through due legal process. He urged the PTI leadership to stop politicizing national security matters and instead focus on constructive political dialogue. Dar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to law and order and maintaining institutional integrity.
