Hisar, April 14, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and laid the foundation stone for a new terminal at Maharaja Agrasen Airport. The ₹410 crore project will feature a modern passenger terminal, cargo terminal, and ATC building, with completion expected in two years. Hisar will also get scheduled flights to Ayodhya, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, boosting regional air connectivity.
Modi’s visit marked the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, during which he launched development projects in Haryana worth ₹10,000 crore. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and other state leaders attended the event, reflecting the government’s focus on infrastructure growth and honoring Ambedkar’s contributions.
