US Warns Foreign Nationals to Register Under Federal Law or Face Deportation and Fines

Washington, D.C., April 12, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a warning to foreign nationals in the U.S. for more than 30 days without proper registration. Under the Alien Registration Act, individuals aged 14 and older must register with federal authorities, providing personal details such as fingerprints and addresses. Failure to comply may result in fines, imprisonment, or both.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem stated that non-compliance could lead to arrest, deportation, and permanent bans from reentry. An online registration system and the new G-325R form are in place to assist individuals in meeting the requirements. This initiative is part of the Trump administration’s broader immigration enforcement efforts.
