Jaipur, April 10, 2025 – Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during the team’s IPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Titans. The match, held earlier this week, saw the Royals fall short of completing their overs in the allotted time, prompting the penalty as per the IPL Code of Conduct. This is the team’s first such offense of the season.
As per IPL regulations, Samson was fined ₹12 lakh for the violation. The league has been strictly enforcing over-rate rules this season to ensure timely conduct of matches. The Royals management has accepted the sanction, and the team is expected to address the issue internally to avoid repeat offenses in future fixtures.
