
New Delhi, April 9, 2025: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma met with NCB Director General Anurag Garg to discuss joint strategies for combating the state’s escalating drug crisis. The meeting focused on enhancing coordination between state agencies and the NCB to boost enforcement efforts and disrupt drug trafficking routes.
Since taking office in December 2024, Lalduhoma has prioritized anti-drug initiatives, setting up new excise and narcotics stations in Saitual and Khawzawl, with another planned in Hnahthial. His administration is also forming a core committee involving NGOs, churches, and officials to address both the supply and demand sides of drug abuse through a comprehensive approach.
