Jorhat, April 8, 2025 – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the Jorhat-Dibrugarh National Highway section is expected to be completed by December 31, 2025. He reviewed the project’s progress in Upper Assam and assured that the government is actively monitoring the work to ensure timely completion.
The CM noted that the highway will improve regional connectivity, boost trade, tourism, and ease transportation. Stressing the importance of quality, he urged officials to maintain high standards and said that strong infrastructure is vital to Assam’s development under the “Ashtalakshmi” vision.
