
Amaravati, April 7, 2025: Andhra Pradesh has emerged as the second fastest-growing state in India for the financial year 2024-25, recording a GSDP growth rate of 8.21%, as per data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). This marks a significant recovery under the coalition government, with Tamil Nadu topping the chart at 9.69% growth.
The report highlighted strong performance in agriculture and allied sectors, which grew by 15.41%, notably boosted by horticulture and farming. While the industrial sector saw a moderate growth of 6.41%, the services sector impressed with 11.82% growth. Andhra Pradesh also ranked third nationally in per capita income growth, which rose by 11.89%, reaching ₹2.66 lakh.
