Menlo Park, April 4, 2025: WhatsApp is testing an advanced privacy feature for Android users to restrict message sharing. The update will prevent shared media from being auto-saved to the recipient’s device, notifying them if this restriction is enabled.
Additionally, the feature is expected to block chat exports for conversations where privacy settings are activated and may limit interactions with Meta AI within the same chat. Currently in development, it is set to roll out in a future update.
