Hyderabad, March 10, 2025: The Andheri Magistrate Court has dismissed Tanushree Dutta’s sexual harassment case against Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, Sami Siddiqui, and Rakesh Sarang, citing lack of evidence and an unreasonable delay under the Limitation Act. Lawyer Padma Shelatkar stated that the 2008 allegations were false and intended to tarnish reputations, with a B summary report confirming insufficient evidence.
Shelatkar condemned the misuse of legal provisions, highlighting her clients’ years of mental distress. She noted that 100 witnesses were present on set, yet no proof supported the claims. Calling the verdict a “beacon of light” for falsely accused individuals, she reaffirmed their faith in the judiciary.
