Amaravati, March 10, 2025: The BJP leadership has chosen senior leader Somu Veerraju as its candidate for the upcoming MLC elections in Andhra Pradesh. This decision aims to provide an opportunity to an experienced leader, given Veerraju’s past role as the party’s state president and his influence in state politics.
The elections are being conducted for five MLC seats under the MLA quota, with the BJP securing one seat, its ally Jana Sena getting another, and the remaining three going to the TDP. As the ruling alliance distributes these seats, the election results will play a key role in shaping the state’s political dynamics.
