Hyderabad, India, March 8, 2025 – Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya led a cycle rally in Telangana’s Kanha Shanti Vanam to celebrate International Women’s Day, with athletes, state sports ministers, and administrators joining in to honor women in sports. The event aimed to showcase the empowerment and achievements of women athletes.
Alongside the rally, Dr. Mandaviya, Secretary (Sports) Smt. Sujata Chaturvedi, and Olympian Pulella Gopichand launched the ASMITA newsletter. The newsletter focuses on the government’s ‘Sports For Women’ initiative, highlighting the positive impact of the ASMITA leagues on women aspiring to make a career in sports.
