However, the DOJ is still targeting Google’s alleged monopoly in search and advertising, with a focus on possibly selling the Chrome browser.
Google has criticized the DOJ’s proposals as overly extreme and outside the legal scope of the case. The DOJ is continuing its efforts to break up Google’s dominance, with a trial scheduled for April 2025 to determine the next steps.
