Navsari, March 8, 2025 – On International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with ‘Lakhpati Didis’ in Navsari, Gujarat, recognizing their contributions to economic empowerment. These women, part of self-help groups (SHGs), have attained financial independence by earning at least one lakh rupees annually. The Prime Minister praised their entrepreneurial achievements and highlighted the importance of women in driving socio-economic progress.
The event showcased various SHG-led initiatives, including handicrafts and agro-based businesses, which have boosted local economies. PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s support through skill development, financial aid, and market access to encourage more women to pursue self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
