QS Global MBA Rankings 2025: The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore has once again emerged as the top MBA college of India in the global rankings. The Global MBA Rankings 2025 was released Wednesday by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a global business school and higher education analyst to identify the world’s top study destinations for aspiring business leaders. Stanford Graduate School of Business , USA has retained its first rank globally.
IIMs’ Performance Improved
IIM-Bangalore has climbed from 53rd to 48th rank globally. Retaining their 2nd and 3rd ranks, respectively, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta have also improved their global ranks. IIM-A has climbed from 60th to 53rd rank globally while IIM-C has risen from 65th to 59th rank this year.
14 Indian MBA programmes Ranked
Fourteen Indian Full-Time MBA programmes have secured a spot in QS’ global list for 2025, including three new entries. IIM Kozhikode makes its debut in the 151-200 band, while the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and Somaiya Vidyavihar University feature in the 251+ band. Leading the Indian cohort is IIM Bangalore. Additionally, three other Indian MBA programmes rank in the Top 100: IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, and the Indian School of Business .
Top Indian MBA Colleges: Overview
Master’s in Management: QS ranks 206 specialised programmes in this subject globally , including 16 master’s in management programmes from India. IIM Bangalore, ranked 32nd globally and second in Asia after Peking University HSBC Business School (28th), drops one place. IIM Calcutta climbs two places to 48th, while IIM Ahmedabad, now ranked 56th, falls out of the global top 50 but remains the only other Indian business school with a Master’s in Management program in the top 100.
Master’s in Management: QS ranks 222 specialised master’s programmes in finance globally, with five Indian programmes making the rankings, all in the 151+ band: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode, Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad, International Management Institute Delhi, Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM), and Woxsen School of Business .
Master’s in Business Analytics: QS ranks 163 specialised master’s programmes in Business Analytics globally, with three Indian programmes making the list. IIM Calcutta is ranked in the 61-70 band, while Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM) and Woxsen School of Business both appear in the 101+ band.
Master’s in Business Marketing: QS ranks 140 specialised master’s programmes in Marketing globally, with two Indian programmes making the list: Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM).
Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (51+) offers the only Indian master’s in supply chain management ranked.
The QS Global MBA and Business Master’s Rankings 2025 spans 58 countries and territories, analysing the world’s 340 best global MBAs and a series of specialised high-demand Business Master’s Rankings, including Master’s in Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Supply Chain Management.
