AP Govt Fixes Flaws in YSRCP’s Land Re-Survey, Resolves 90% Complaints

Amaravati, March 4, 2025 – Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad criticized the previous YSRCP government’s flawed land re-survey across 6,688 villages, citing lack of notice to landowners and a reduced objection period from 60 to 21 days, leading to disputes. To address these issues, the coalition government held Gram Sabhas, resolving 90% of 2.79 lakh complaints, with the rest to be settled soon.

The minister said discrepancies in land records affected property registrations, prompting the launch of online sub-division services with a six-month fee waiver. Of 71,337 sub-division requests, 62,816 have been resolved. The re-survey, restarted on January 20, follows a structured approach with dedicated surveyors and WhatsApp-based transparency for farmers. The government aims to complete it within three years and has formed a cabinet subcommittee to resolve disputes.
