
Amaravati, February 28, 2025 – Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu presented the Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Budget 2025-26, highlighting agriculture as key to state and national growth. He reiterated the government’s commitment to Swarnandhra-2047 and Viksit Bharat 2047, aiming to transform the state into a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047.
The minister reported 22.86% growth in agriculture and criticized the previous government’s neglect of soil testing. In 2024-25, 4.30 lakh soil health cards were distributed, with a 6 lakh target for 2025-26. The government also plans to supply 41.38 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizers in the next fiscal year.
