    AP Budget 2025: ₹3.22 Lakh Crore Allocated, Focus on Rural Development

    Amaravati, February 28, 2025 – Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the ₹3.22 lakh crore Andhra Pradesh Budget 2025-26, the first full-fledged budget of the coalition government. He emphasized the government’s focus on rural development, particularly through the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide clean drinking water to 95.44 lakh rural households. Additionally, ₹18,847 crore has been allocated for the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department to enhance village infrastructure and services.

    The minister credited Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for guiding rural development initiatives and acknowledged the Amaravati farmers’ struggle against past government policies. He affirmed the government’s commitment to protecting Amaravati as the state capital, assuring that capital city development works would begin soon.
