    Odisha CM Visits Injured After Lingaraj Temple Maha Shivaratri Mishap

    Bhubaneswar, February 27, 2025 – During the Maha Shivaratri celebrations at Lingaraj Temple, a servitor, Jogendra Samartha, suffered injuries after falling from 20 feet while lifting the Mahadeepa. The accident, which took place around 10:40 PM, also injured two others, including a policeman, due to hot oil spillage from the lamp. The injured were immediately rushed to Capital Hospital for medical treatment.

    Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited the hospital and assured priority medical care for the injured, praying for their speedy recovery. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to their well-being. Meanwhile, Khurda District Collector Chanchal Rana announced an investigation into the accident to ensure safety measures are strengthened for future events.
