New Delhi, February 25, 2025: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has set up an ad hoc committee to manage boxing affairs, citing governance concerns within the Boxing Federation of India (BFI). The committee aims to ensure smooth operations and compliance with international standards.
However, the BFI has strongly opposed the move, calling it “illegal” and an unwarranted intervention. The federation asserts its authority over Indian boxing and is considering legal action against the decision, leading to a standoff between the two organizations.
