Rachin Ravindra Creates History: Becomes New Zealand’s Top Century-Scorer in ICC ODI Events

Rawalpindi, February 25, 2025: Rachin Ravindra has become New Zealand’s leading century-scorer in ICC ODI events, scoring his fourth century during the Champions Trophy match against Bangladesh. Batting at number four, Ravindra played a stellar knock of 112 runs off 105 balls, surpassing the previous record of three centuries held by Kane Williamson and Nathan Astle.

This century marks Ravindra’s first in the Champions Trophy, adding to his three centuries from the 2023 World Cup. His innings played a crucial role in New Zealand’s successful chase of Bangladesh’s 237-run target, securing their place in the semi-finals. Teammate Tom Latham lauded Ravindra’s ability to perform under pressure despite batting in an unfamiliar position.
