Kuala Lumpur, February 19, 2025: Malaysia and India strengthened their defence ties at the 13th Malaysia-India Defence Cooperation Committee (MIDCOM) meeting, co-chaired by Malaysia’s Defence Secretary and a senior Indian official. The discussions focused on enhancing military training, joint exercises, and defence industry cooperation while emphasizing regional security and Indo-Pacific stability.
Officials reviewed existing defence engagements and explored new areas for collaboration, particularly in maritime security and counterterrorism. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to intelligence sharing and joint operations, highlighting their dedication to deepening strategic defence partnerships.
