Undavalli, February 19, 2025: Minister Nara Lokesh instructed officials to ensure teacher transfers are based on seniority without disputes and announced plans for a conference to discuss alternatives to GO 117. He assured a positive decision on salary hikes for guest lecturers and recommended implementing the CBSE syllabus for first-year intermediate students from the next academic year.
Reviewing the education sector at his Undavalli residence, Lokesh stressed completing lecturer transfers before the academic year begins. He criticized the previous Jagan government for enforcing GO 42, which led to the closure of 80 aided colleges, impacting students, and accused it of conspiring to seize aided college properties.
