    Major Boost for Andhra: ₹9,000 Crore LNG Terminal Coming to Kakinada

    Kakinada, February 17, 2025 — Norway-based Crown LNG will invest ₹9,000 crore to establish an LNG Import Terminal on the Kakinada coast. An MoU for the project was signed in New Delhi in the presence of Kakinada MP Tangella Uday Srinivas. The terminal, expected to produce 7.2 million metric tonnes of gas annually, will create jobs and support local industries.

    MP Uday Srinivas emphasized that the project aligns with Viksit Bharat 2047 and Swarna Andhra Vision 2047, attracting major energy investments to Andhra Pradesh. The terminal, set to begin production by 2028, will contribute to the state’s industrial and economic growth.
