
New Delhi, February 14 – India and Australia held a Senior Officials’ Consultation on Antarctica, focusing on enhancing collaboration in scientific research, environmental protection, and climate change. The meeting, held under the Antarctic Treaty System, allowed both countries to review current research initiatives and explore further cooperation in Antarctica’s unique environment.
Discussions also centered on preserving Antarctica’s ecosystem and promoting sustainable research practices. Both nations underscored the significance of international cooperation in protecting the continent’s natural resources and advancing scientific knowledge, marking a step forward in their partnership in Arctic and Antarctic affairs.
