Delhi High Court Rejects Plea to Hold NEET Exams Twice a Year

New Delhi, February 13 – The Delhi High Court has rejected a plea seeking to hold the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate medical courses twice a year, similar to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The bench, led by Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, stated that decisions regarding exam frequency fall under the government’s policy and are beyond judicial intervention.

The petitioner, a coaching center teacher, argued that multiple attempts would reduce student stress and enhance performance. However, the court noted that many competitive exams do not offer multiple chances and suggested that the petitioner approach the appropriate authorities for further consideration.
