Visakhapatnam, February 12, 2025: The High Court heard a case on alleged illegal constructions at Bheemunipatnam Beach. Jana Sena Corporator Peethala Murthy Yadav filed the petition, accusing Neha Reddy, daughter of former MP Vijayasai Reddy, of violating Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms by constructing permanent structures on the beach.
A committee comprising the Visakhapatnam District Collector, GVMC Commissioner, and CRZ officials submitted a report following a site inspection, as directed by the court. After reviewing the findings, the court instructed the petitioner to submit a counter and scheduled the next hearing for the following week.
