Amaravati, February 6, 2025 – The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, met to approve key policy decisions. Among the approvals were a 34% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in nominated posts and a policy supporting SC, ST, BC, and women industrialists, offering additional incentives, particularly in sectors like electricity.
The Cabinet also discussed raising the tender limits for the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and proposed amendments to the reservation law for nominated posts. Other decisions included upgrading workers at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to supervisory roles, increasing compensation for landowners in Tamminapatnam and Kottapatnam, revising the retail excise tax on domestically produced foreign liquor, and approving Rs. 44,776 crore worth of projects.
