Visakhapatnam, February 5: The South Coast Railway Zone will have four divisions headquartered in Visakhapatnam, including divisions in Vijayawada, Guntur, and Guntakal. The Waltair Division will be renamed as the Visakhapatnam Division, marking a historic shift for the region.
MP Bharat welcomed the renaming decision, emphasizing that it aligns with the aspirations of Visakhapatnam’s residents and will aid in the city’s development. He highlighted that the move will enhance railway infrastructure, attract central support for new projects, and improve train services and facilities.
