Registration Rates Revised: Major Reductions in Guntur, Hikes in Vijayawada & Vizag

Amaravati, February 1, 2025: The Andhra Pradesh coalition government revised land registration values, reducing steep rates set by the previous YSRCP regime. The new rates took effect today, with adjustments based on residential and commercial development. In Guntur district, Nallapadu saw a reduction from ₹1.96 crores to ₹30 lakhs per acre, while Sudhapalli Donka dropped from ₹4.35 crores to ₹1.99 crores per acre.

Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam witnessed hikes of up to 9% and 32%, respectively. In Kakinada, commercial rates were reduced from ₹42,000 to ₹22,000 per square yard. A rush at registration offices before the hike led to server issues and extended working hours until 11 p.m. Despite efforts, technical glitches left several registrations incomplete, frustrating many citizens.
