Protests Erupt as FIITJEE Branches in Delhi NCR Close Over Licensing Violations

New Delhi, January 25, 2025: The closure of several FIITJEE branches in Delhi NCR and northern India has led to protests from parents demanding refunds. The closures, including in Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Bhopal, followed actions against the institute for violating licensing and fire safety rules. The South Delhi branch at Kalu Sarai also suspended classes after teachers left due to unpaid wages, prompting further unrest.

FIITJEE, founded in 1992 by D K Goel, expanded rapidly from a small startup to a leader in IIT-JEE training with 74 centers and international branches. Known for producing top rankers, the institute is now facing backlash due to financial and operational troubles, leaving students and parents dissatisfied.
