This error led CEO Mark Zuckerberg to initiate an emergency troubleshooting procedure, known as SEV, to address the issue urgently.
This incident is the third emergency procedure Meta has faced during the presidential transition week. The company has also encountered challenges, such as users being forced to re-follow official White House accounts and blocked searches for Democratic hashtags on Instagram. These issues have raised concerns about potential politicization of changes on Meta’s platforms.
