Visakhapatnam’s Vision for Growth: Data Centers and Global Hubs Coming Soon

Visakhapatnam, January 24, 2025: Following the recent formation of the coalition government, Visakhapatnam is attracting IT companies, including Google, eager to set up regional centers. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Lokesh, during their visit to Davos, discussed plans for data centers and global business hubs. Authorities are preparing an iconic building under the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), with its inauguration expected in early February.

An 11-story, ship-shaped multi-story car parking facility is under construction in central Visakhapatnam. The building will feature 190,000 square feet for parking and 165,000 square feet for office spaces. Designed with modern glass exteriors, it is expected to attract multinational companies. With grounds ready for data centers, the facility is set to enhance the city’s branding, with a final decision on its future expected after Chief Minister Naidu’s return from Davos.
