Mumbai, January 24, 2025: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his home on January 16, 2025, by an intruder during an attempted robbery. Khan was stabbed multiple times, suffering injuries to his spine, neck, and hands, which required surgery. A female employee was also injured in the attack but is now reported to be out of danger. The intruder, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, was arrested by Mumbai police.
In a statement to the authorities, Khan described the terrifying ordeal, saying he woke up to the screams of his son Jehangir’s nanny. Upon investigating, he confronted the intruder, who attacked him with a knife. Khan’s bravery in the face of danger has been widely praised, and the actor’s quick response likely prevented further harm to his family.
