Tirumala, January 11, 2025: On the auspicious occasion of Vaikuntha Dwadashi, the sacred Chakrasnanam ritual was performed with grandeur at Tirumala. Devotees gathered in large numbers at the temple’s Pushkarini (holy tank) to witness the divine event, where the Sri Sudarshana Chakram was ceremoniously bathed, signifying purification and blessings for humanity.
The Chakrasnanam marks the conclusion of the Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations and holds immense significance in Vaishnavite tradition. The ritual symbolizes the washing away of sins and the granting of divine protection to devotees. Amid chants of Vedic hymns, the temple priests conducted the sacred ceremony, filling the atmosphere with devotion and spiritual fervor.
