Bilaspur, November 26, 2024 – A coal-loaded freight train derailed in the Bilaspur division of Chhattisgarh, with 20 wagons going off the tracks. The incident occurred on the Bilaspur-Katni section, between Khongsara and Bhanwartank railway stations, disrupting both passenger and freight services.
Though no injuries have been reported, the derailment has caused delays and diversions to several trains, including major express services. Railway authorities are working to clear the tracks and restore normal operations, while an investigation into the cause is ongoing.
