New Delhi, January 6, 2025 – The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has invited applications for the recruitment of Data Processing Assistants on a deputation basis in the Income Tax Department. These Group ‘B’ Gazetted posts aim to fill eight vacancies, with applications available on incometaxindia.gov.in. The examination will be held in cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and Chennai.
Candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format along with required documents, including attested APARs for the last five years, cadre clearance, and integrity certificates. The pay scale ranges from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400, and the age limit is 56 years as of the application closing date. Applications must be sent through the proper channel to the Directorate of Income Tax (Systems), CBDT, in New Delhi. Officers eligible for direct promotion or on deputation will not be considered.
